Weekly updates relating to the Saratoga Woods Swim Team 2018 Season

SARATOGA WOODS
DOLPHIN NEWS

The Dolphin News will be coming to you each week via email during the swim season.  BE SURE TO READ YOUR COPY EACH WEEK! This newsletter contains important information regarding swim meets, upcoming swim team events and volunteer jobs.

WE STILL NEED AGE GROUP PHOTOGRAPHERS!

It is a big job to make sure that each and every swimmer gets photographed for our Awards Dinner Slideshow.  There are a lot of kids, and not everyone attends all of the meets.  Therefore, we break it down into age groups in order to make it more manageable.  We currently still have openings for several age groups.  If you can help with this, please contact Rosie Parket, our Slideshow Coordinator.  Ideally, we want to get a start on these pictures ASAP.

SAT., JUNE 2: First dual meet (away) vs. Cupertino Hills (directions to venue HERE)

  • Arrive at Cupertino Hills by 8:00 for check-in with Bria Thompson, our Volunteer Coordinator.  Please find her as soon as you arrive.  We need to make sure that all of our workers are present and accounted for.  It is difficult and time-consuming to hunt down individual volunteers in amongst all of the swimmers, tents, etc.  Please seek her out!

  • Notify Coach Laforge by Weds., May 30 if your child(ren) will not be swimming.

  • Double check your volunteer job HERE.  As Bria indicated in her email, the team is pretty short-handed this year, and most definitely at this first away meet.  Please contact her ASAP if you can add a second (or third) job on Saturday.
SAT., JUNE 2: TEAM CAMPOUT
  • Please read--CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS: In the past, campers have set up tents immediately following the Ribbons Ceremony.  However, this year there is a private party taking place at the Club until 3:30 pm on Saturday.  Therefore, out of respect for our party hosts, we ask that you wait until after 3:30 to set up your tents.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this causes.  However, club rentals are a significant source of revenue to the Club (thereby keeping membership dues down), and we want our renters to have a positive and welcoming experience.  Thanks in advance for your understanding.

  • Campout check-in is 6PM & Dinner is "NOT" provided.  Please eat before you arrive!

  • Bring loose change to contribute to the money dive

  • You can pay early in the Hulbert folder or via Paypal: joseph_hulbert@yahoo.com please mention campout either way
ACTION ITEM:

If you have not already done so, please check your family's emergency contact information HERE and let me know that it is correct.  Please do this--mistakes happen!
